Call for Papers
Western European Workshop on Research in
Cryptology
July 5-7, 2005

WEWoRC '05 is a research meeting in the field of cryptology.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following
- Foundations of cryptology (e.g., from computational number theory,
complexity theory, combinatorics)
- Secret-key cryptosystems and hash functions
- Public-key cryptosystems
- Modes of operation (e.g., Authenticated encryption and signcryption)
- Cryptographic protocols
(e.g., privacy, mobile security,
distributed cryptography)
- Implementation of cryptosystems and their integration
into secure systems
- Applications such as watermarking and code obfuscation
The workshop will be held in the mediaeval town of Leuven
which has had a university since 1425. The
town has a rich academic tradition and an
equally enjoyable student life. The workshop
is jointly organised between KU Leuven
(COSIC), Royal Holloway (ISG), and the German
special interest group of applied cryptology
("FG Angewandte Kryptologie").
Those who wish to give a talk are invited to submit an
extended abstract of 1-2 pages (short talk) or
3-5 pages (long talk) using the template
provided on the workshop homepage. The workshop
language is English.

Submission Deadline: June 1, 2005
Notification of Acceptance: June 6, 2005
Early Bird Registration: June 10, 2005
Registration Deadline: June 17, 2005
Workshop: July 5-7,2005
Conference records will contain all
abstracts submitted before the deadline and
will be distributed during the workshop. In
addition, they will be made available online
through the workshop homepage. A number of
selected articles will be published in
post-proceedings. The post-proceedings are
planned to appear in the "Lecture Notes
in Informatics" (LNI).
